Miss A "Shows Off"

I just wanted to share a few personal photos from my daughter’s first horse show of the year. Most of these are just snapshots, but I love them just the same. She’s four years old and this is her third year of riding, second year doing horse shows with our Saddlebred, Miss Scout (or Girl Scout, as we sometimes call her). We’re hoping next year she’ll break out of the lead line classes. And, yes, that’s me and my big belly … I totally didn’t think about the fact that I don’t own maternity riding clothes, and therefore Adeline and I weren’t the matching mommy/daughter duo we usually are for classes. The bottom photos show Miss A and the baby ducks at our barn … who are growing up so quickly! These were, of course, processed with all Paint the Moon goodies … but, no, her eyes were not touched. She just has some gorgeous peepers. 🙂

I grew up on a horse farm riding with my mommy, and am so happy to be sharing this with my daughter (and my mommy – who rides every day and shares our horse and passion for all things horsey with us)!

As for your actions, I was just browsing through them earlier today, and downloaded your freebies (thanks you SO much) and I’m bummed I missed the 30% off. I didn’t realize you were up and running here! Must’ve missed that. Anyways … I’ll be getting The Whole Kit and Kaboodle set, as soon as I can. Or as soon as you have another sale *wink*

Isadora … I was just using my little nifty fifty (50mm 1.4). Had to get as much light in as possible in the dark arena. 🙂

Annie, you are quite possibly the cutest pregnant woman ever! These shots are, of course, gorgeous but I especially love the one of little Miss A kissing the duck. Too precious.

  11. OMGosh, these are just precious! Seriously, so freaking cute!

  12. What an ABSOLUTELY amazing passion to pass down through the generations Annie! I was not allowed on horses due to my father’s being thrown from one. I was also not allowed on motorcycles because of his narrow escape from death on his Indian back in the day. I felt like I had missed out on so much growing up and actually fed my passion for horses via my second daughter, Joan when she was in 4-H and begged her father and I to buy her one! Seeing you and Annie together does my heart good and you both are STUNNING! A MOST fabulous shot of you and your PREICOUS baby bump and Annie looks SO proud of her accomplishment, as she should be! These photos are SO gorgeous that I even had my honey come and take a peek! 😉 SO glad your body was good to you for this MOST special occasion in Miss A’s life! XOXO
