I am so excited to see that I do most of this naturally (it seems) like peek a boo focusing first and then peeking over the camera :D But I have never tried using reverse psychology ( I haven't had to yet) and I am a true big kid at heart so practise in that department has never been needed haha thank you so much for your words of wisdom I am just happy to hear that I am doing it right! I am saving at the moment to buy some of your amazing Photoshop actions :D

Thank you so much for this article!! I feel like I really connected with what you were saying, and I know it will help tremendously in my shooting. I primarily work with couples (engagements and weddings), so for me, it's hard to feel comfortable working with little ones. Thank you for giving me renewed confidence in this genre!!

Some of my favourite photos of my youngest daughter are from a day in which she spent the entire outing (to the park with cousins) in a snit. Her expressions really convey her attitude of the day and, IMHO, convey some really interesting emotions. I've put four together (square pics forming a 2x2 square) and I love it. Not sure what point I'm trying to make really, just something that popped into my mind while reading your essay.
