I’m so excited about the Let’s Do 52 project … the response has been wonderful so far (especially for starting so late with only a couple of days to get this first week done!!). The images in the group are just amazing and inspiring. I love seeing the wide range of styles and skill levels, everyone all supporting one another and going on this journey together.

We’re still wanting more of you to come join us!! Feel free to jump in at any time … no requirements except shooting and posting a photo a week in the group. There will be an idea for a theme given each week … actually two, read below for details … but you can also choose to go out on your own for subject matters. You can be a pro or an amateur … just have a passion for photography and a yearning for some fun and inspiration!! You can check out some more information and tips here at the original post. And be sure to come to our Facebook page, there is always lots of activity going on and you’ll find much support, information and inspiration to be had (not to mention exclusive freebies and offers from time to time).

Now on to Week Two! I was thinking that we might change it up a little and give everyone a choice of two drastically different themes or ideas each week. I personally love more abstract ideas to work with, such as New Beginnings was … or a feeling of some sort. These types of inspiring prompts help stretch my creativity and look at things in a new light. However, I know that not everyone is in this for the story telling and full of meaning photos … some of you just want to take fun photos and not bother with the rest. So, I thought from now on I would offer a more abstract idea or thought to base your weekly photo on, as well as a more literal or concrete theme. Does that sound good to everyone? And, of course, if you would rather not follow along with our theme/idea of the week, that is cool too. Just as long as you’re growing, having fun and doing your best to take your photo every week. And we’ll soon have posted in the discussions section of the Flickr group page a list of ideas/themes that are coming up for the upcoming four weeks (for those who like to start their creative juices flowing early), as well as all past themes if you want to catch up on weeks missed.

With all that said, our ideas for week two are togetherness and metal. Keep in mind that either of those words could take you to drastically different places iwth your images depending on how you interpret them. Togetherness will likely bring up thoughts of people together … but what about a six pack of soda?? The word metal will undoubtedly bring up images of things like keys and nails in many people’s minds … but what about that guy on the corner in the Metallica t-shirt? You get the idea!

Now, I would like to ask you to pretty please share this with your friends and readers (original post here). I want to get as many people playing along as we can. The more who play, the more inspiration, support and potential learning experience we’ll all have … and the more fun!! So, please blog, Facebook, Twitter, etc. and invite others to join the fun!
